One thing that introduce me to make up was my friend’s mom’s glow make-up stick.
I remember that day very clearly,I was getting ready for my dance performance during college cultural festival, and my friend (Sana, if you are reading i loved aunty’s lakme’s bronze stuff) passed on her makeup bag to me. Being a classical dancer myself I had my makeup stuff, but one thing that caught my eye was a round lipstick bullet sorta thing.
She told me to apply on bridge of the nose…I did…n it was “glowing”making it look very sharp. Since then I was quite intrigued my that stuff but never knew what is it called. Thanks to Kardashian’s contouring and Highlight was like a makeup step out of Bible.
Guess I am digressing from the topic.
So I know there are gazillion highlighters available in market, budget highlighters to high end. I am going to talk about that one which is extremely effective and inexpensive and has been an understated .
Essence Cosmetics last fall(at least in Australia we saw that in fall) introduce a range called”me & my umbrella”. And personally I loved each one of the product under this trend edition, but one thing that stood out was it “mini contouring kit”.
It has two mini sticks….1) Contouring stick
2) Highlighter stick
It comes in only one shade, hence Contouring stick may not be a match for many. But the product itself it quite impressive.
Highlighter stick on the other hand is quite universal. It is a salmon-ish hue. The pigments are quite fine and blendable. Because it’s a cream highlighters it’s quite sheer on one application, but is totally buildable. So people who are new to makeup it’s a best option as chances of you ending up looking like a disco Ball is pretty low…😋.
I am inserting my pic here…..and you can see the glow. I am super duper impressed .
You can easily compare it with Thebalm mary louminizer
The staying power is quite good.
Only one complain that I have is the packaging. Though it looks cute but still they could have done a better job. And I hope Essence cosmetics put this one in there permanent line.
P.S:-Pretty sure this range may not be available in stores now as it’s from there trend edition.
